Market Update - January / February 2024


January has seen full-time job opportunities come close to rebounding to their pre-Christmas levels. The contractor market is lagging behind, around 20% down on the October 2023 baseline level comparative: 



Observations:


  • Project focused roles, including Change Management have been slower to rebound in the contractor market. The push toward converting contractors into permanent roles continues, particularly within Government.  

  • Technical IT roles have been faster to rebound in the contractor market than in the full-time market.
